Invotech, the innovation technology business incubator at the Durban University of Technology, hosted its first Health Walk on Saturday, 18 Mach 2017, at the Ritson Campus from 08h00 to 12h00.
The 3km health walk was aimed at educating students about drugs and keeping them away from substance abuse while getting them interested in taking care of their health.
The walk was sponsored by Nexia SAB&T, Nos Magazine, S.Dot_Aqua as well as the Department of Somatology at DUT.
The event had 92 marshals. The Heart and Stroke Foundation screened a total of 65 people for blood pressure. The KZN Health Department also kept the attendees’ pumped up with aerobics.
Speakers at the event included Nosipho Mncwabe from Nos Media; Zama Myeni, Business Support Officer at Invotech, as well as Lindani Dhlomo, Invotech Chairman.
